ANNEXE 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
1. There will be a 30 minute wind down period following the cessation of the supply of alcohol on the premises, on the expiry of which the premises will close.
2. The premises will adopt a Zero policy on the supply or use of drugs.
3. Membership of the Local Licensees Association will be maintained.
4. The proprietor will have regular contact with the Licensing Authority and the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary and will have involvement in local crime prevention initiatives.
5. A proof of age policy agreed by the police and local authority will be enforced.
6. The electrical system at the premises, including portable appliances will be inspected and tested annually by a competent person to ensure safety. (The installation will have a full inspection at least every 3 years and be tested annually. A competent person will be a qualified electrician who is qualified to complete works as per the I.E.E. wiring Regulations 16th Edition or is registered with the ECA or NICEIC.)
7. Where temporary electrical equipment is to be used, a suitable circuit breaker device will be installed to cover this equipment.
8. The circuit breaker should operate at a current not exceeding 30 MA and should comply with BS 4293.
9. The device will be tested monthly and tests will be recorded.
10. Temporary electrical wiring and distribution systems will not be installed unless inspected by a suitable qualified electrician. Temporary electrical wiring and distribution systems will comply with BS 7671 or where applicable BS7909.
11. The gas system including appliances will be inspected and tested by Corgi Registered Gas Engineer annually and a satisfactory gas safety certificate will be obtained.
12. All safety certificates and inspection reports will be kept on site and made available for inspection by officers or relevant statutory bodies.
13. All fire exits will be kept clear at all times.
14. All regulated entertainment shall not continue after the will end before cessation of the sale of alcohol.
15. The Beachcomber Bar function room will have double glazing to reduce noise escape and sound limiters will be attached to all electrical equipment used.
16. When entertainment is taking place in the function room the doors will be sealed with noise reducing tape when closed.
17. The designated premises supervisor, or such person so authorised by him, will control the volume of music or other apparatus used.
18. The designated premises supervisor, or such person so authorised by him, and will regularly check to ensure doors to entrance of function room remain closed.
19. All external doors and windows will be kept shut, other than for access and egress, in all rooms when events involving amplified music or speech or other entertainment are likely to give rise to noise.
20. The outside area will be kept clean and tidy and the bins emptied regularly.
21. Patrons will be asked not to stand around talking in the street outside the premises or any car park; and asked to leave the vicinity quickly and quietly.
22. No drinks will be taken off site apart from off-site sales.
23. The licensable activities authorised by this licence will be confined to the areas that are hatched in RED on the plan accompanying the licence.
