ANNEXE 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
1 At all events when a dance or a disco is run in the hall, committee members will monitor the doors and volunteers will run the bar on a rota basis.
2. Alcoholic drinks are only consumed within the building except when an event takes place outside the premises all drinks will be provided in plastic glasses.
3. All volunteers will be trained in the new law by the Designated Premises Supervisor.
4. Free drinking water is available at all times.
5. The electrical system, including portable appliances will be inspected and tested annually by a competent person to ensure safety. A competent person will be a qualified electrician who is registered with the ECA or NICEIC.
6. Maximum capacity is set at 100 and will be complied with.
7. There is a disability access to the building.
8. Sanitary accommodation consists of 2 female and 1 male WC and 3 male urinals plus one disabled toilet.
9. Smoking is not permitted in the building and is rigidly enforced by the committee. Ventilation is provided high in the kitchen ceiling and allows a good exchange of air.
10. First aid box is provided in the kitchen area and notices of location are posted throughout the building.
11. The fire safety measures with which the premises are provided will be maintained in good working order and their adequacy is determined on a regular basis by the carrying out of a fire risk assessment (as required by and in accordance with the fire precautions (workplace regulations). The applicant understands that the fire safety of occupants is also influenced by numbers of persons present, their disposition and the activities taking place, and therefore undertakes to maintain a safe occupancy limit.
12. Gates have been placed at the entrance to prevent children from running in the road and both open outwards in case of fire escape from the building.
13. All windows in the building are double-glazed and ventilation is provided in the high ceiling of the kitchen.
14. The designated premises supervisor or someone nominated by him or her will assess the impact of any noisy activities on neighbouring residential premises at the start of the activity/entertainment and periodically throughout the activity/entertainment
15. The designated premises supervisor, or such person so authorised by him, will control the volume of music or other apparatus used.
16. Doors to the conservatory are fitted with automatic door closers.
17. Door staff will be posted in the conservatory during any event.
18. Fire escapes shown as Escape 2 and 3 on the plan are fitted with alarms to prevent unauthorised entrance or exit.
19. Suitable signage at the exit to request the co-operation, of patrons in particular, to be as quiet as possible when leaving the premises.
20. An announcement will be made prior to closing requesting patrons’ co-operation in leaving the premises and vicinity as quietly and quickly as possible.
21. Children not allowed to approach the bar unless as a thoroughfare to other facilities.
22. All children on the premises shall be supervised at all times by a responsible adult over 18 years of age.
23. A proof of age policy agreed by the police and local authority will be enforced.
24. The licensable activities on this licence are restricted to the areas outlined in RED on the plan deposited with and approved by the Licensing Authority.
