ANNEXE 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS OFFERED BY APPLICANT
a) General - all four licensing objectives (b,c,d,e)
The main way in protecting the four licensing objectives, is to not allow the general public on site, as all sales will be via the internet or telephone sales
b) The prevention of crime and disorder
There will be no advertising to road users or passers by; we will not be having an onsite shop, but will be selling via wholesale orders or internet orders only. There is a residential farmhouse on the site of the premises that is occupied, and the owner has guard dogs. Outside of operating hours, all outhouses, barns and sheds are locked and secured and the production plant will have secure windows and doors. As an additional security measure, security lights will be installed.
c) Public safety
Only staff will be allowed on to the premises. A complete refurbishment has been undertaken of the premises, with the removal of asbestos, the replacing of wiring and electrics and the floor has been painted with anti-slip paint. The lighting has been upgraded and fire exits will be highlighted. Fire extinguishers and first aid kits are in place for the premises and an annual risk assessment and health and safety review has been scheduled. COSHH sheets have been completed and staff have been given training in first aid, health and safety and safe working practices of the machinery and equipment. All steps and trip hazards are clearly marked and emergency lighting will be installed. Doors and windows have been replaced with double glazed and anti-shatter glass. H&S posters will clearly be displayed and we are registered with the Environmental Health Office.
d) The prevention of public nuisance
We will not allow the general public onto the premises for sales and there will be no farm traffic to or from the premises outside reasonable hours. There will be designated bin storage areas and pest control measures are in place, to ensure that vermin are discouraged from being on the premises. Recycling programmes will be in place, to keep rubbish to a minimum and we will be monitoring noise production levels on a regular basis (the nearest property is approximately 1/4 mile from the cider production plant.)
e) The protection of children from harm
Children are not permitted to be on the premises under any circumstances. We will be selling via wholesale or web sales only so there will be no need for the general public to be onsite. We will comply to an accredited ID scheme usage and will not sell to anyone who appears to be under 21, without valid photo ID. We will refuse any sales that potentially will allow children access to alcohol.
