ANNEXE 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
1. The maximum occupancy figure for the whole premises will be 100 persons in agreement with the Licensing Authority and Devon and Somerset Fire & Rescue Service and based on fire safety issues, available floor space and the sanitary accommodation available. This figure is not to be amended without consultation and written agreement by those Authorities.
2. A trustee or responsible person authorised by the Village Hall Committee will be present whenever the premises are in use.
3. When not in use the hall will be locked.
4. No smoking will be permitted within the premises.
5. The electrical system, including portable appliances will be inspected and tested annually by a competent person to ensure safety. Such inspections will be recorded in an appropriate log and a certificate obtained and retained on the premises for inspection by the Authorities on demand. A competent person will be a qualified electrician who is registered with the ECA or NICEIC.
6. The gas system, including appliances, will be inspected and tested by a Gas Safe registered engineer annually. Such inspections will be recorded in an appropriate log and a satisfactory certificate obtained and retained on the premises for inspection by the Authorities on demand.
7. The fire safety measures with which the premises are provided must be maintained in good working order, and their adequacy will be determined on a regular basis, by the carrying out of a fire risk assessment as required by, and in accordance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. The Hall Management Committee understand that safety of occupants is also influenced by numbers of persons present, their disposition and the activities taking place and therefore undertake to maintain a safe occupancy level.
8. A first aid box will be on the premises for use by patrons if necessary.
9. No entertainment of an adult nature must take place at the premises.
10. Two suitably licensed adults will be present during dramatic performances and rehearsals when children are performing.
11. There will be separate dressing rooms for adult males, adult females, male children and female children.
12. If children under 8 years old are present when films are being shown on the premises there must be at least one adult for every six children present.
13. Whenever films are being shown on the premises there must be at least two responsible adults in attendance.
14. The extent of the areas within which the various licensable activities will be permitted are as outlined in red on the plan deposited with and approved by the Licensing Authority.
