ANNEXE 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
1. No customers carrying open or sealed bottles or glasses will be admitted to the premises at any time.
2. No customers will be permitted to take open containers or alcoholic or soft drinks from the premises.
3. All bottles and glasses will be removed from the public areas as soon as they are finished with or empty.
4. A proof of age policy to the satisfaction of the police and the local authority will be in place.
5. An anti drug policy agreed by the police and local authority will be in force.
6. A detailed ‘customer code of conduct’ poster will be displayed warning customers that if they act in an inappropriate manner, they could be barred from all licensed premises in the vicinity.
7. Any restrictions on the admission of children to the premises will be displayed outside the premises.
8. The premises will be a member of Pubwatch/Licensees Association and a representation will attend Pubwatch/Licensees Association meetings and participate in all initiatives.
9. The electrical system, including portable appliances will be inspected and tested annually by a competent person to ensure safety. A competent person will be a qualified electrician who is registered with the ECA or NICEIC.
10. The oil fired boilers and appliances will be inspected and tested annually and an OFTEC certificate of inspection will obtained.
11. All safety certificates and inspection reports will be kept on site and made available for inspection by officers of relevant statutory bodies.
12. Free drinking water will be available at all times.
13. When disabled people are present, adequate arrangements will exist to enable their safe evacuation in the event of an emergency.
14. The air management system within the premises will be used during entertainment, as there will be insufficient ventilation when all windows and doors are closed, to prevent noise break out.
15. Gangways, exit routes and steps will be maintained in good order with non-slippery and even surfaces; edges of steps and stairways will be conspicuously marked.
16. All staff receive suitable training as to what to do in an emergency and in general safety precautions.
17. The manager or senior member of staff check the premises prior to opening to ensure there are no risks to patrons and that all safety precautions are in place.
18. Regular glass and bottle collection will be undertaken throughout opening hours.
19. A means of addressing patrons during operative hours, which can be heard above entertainment or a means of interrupting the entertainment to make important safety announcements will be available.
20. All areas with sudden changes in height will have guarded edges to prevent patrons falling.
21. All external doors and windows will be kept shut, other than for access and egress in all rooms when events involving amplified music or speech or other entertainment likely to give rise to noise.
22. Staff will check prior to entertainment, and periodically during the entertainment, that all windows and doors are shut.
23. A senior member of staff (manager) will assess the impact of any noisy activities on neighbouring residential premises at the start of the activity/ entertainment and periodically throughout the activity entertainment
24. Management will control the sound levels of the music/entertainment.
25. To prevent entertainment being intrusive, noise emanating from the premises will not be clearly audible 1 metre from the façade of the nearest residential property.
26. To prevent entertainment being intrusive noise emanating from the premises will not exceed 5dBA in any octave band for a 5 minute Leq above background level at the façade of the nearest residential property.
27. Between 11:00 pm and 12 midnight in order to prevent entertainment being intrusive, noise emanating from the premises will not be clearly distinguishable above background levels and shall not cause a statutory nuisance.
28. Between 12 midnight and 2:00 am noise emanating from the premises will not be distinguishable above back ground levels and shall not cause a statutory nuisance.
29. Provision of mechanical ventilation and air conditioning system will not allow noise breakout from the premises or cause a nuisance by its operation.
30. The delivery of goods will be restricted to the normal working day.
31. The use of gardens and external play areas will not commence before the start of normal trading hours and will cease at dusk or at 9:00 pm, whichever is the earlier.
32. No music or speech will be relayed by external speakers without the consent of the licensing authority.
33. Staff will monitor the use of the car park to ensure patrons do not congregate in this area and cause annoyance.
34. All the rubbish produced by the premises will be stored securely in a designated area or in a bin with a tight fitting and lockable lid.
35. Facilities for depositing litter and the collection of litter generated by patrons will be available and maintained where outside areas are provide for the use of patrons.
36. The use of lighting in gardens and external areas will cease at 9:00 pm except for health and safety or security reasons and will never be intrusive to residential properties.
37. The licensable activities authorised by this licence will be confined to the areas that are outlined in PINK on the plan accompanying the licence.
