ANNEXE 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
Embedded Conditions Consistent with the Licensing Act 1964
1. The permitted hours to sell alcohol on this licence do not prohibit or restrict on the licensed premises the sale or supply to, or consumption of alcohol by, any person residing on the premises.
2. The permitted hours to sell alcohol on this licence do not prohibit or restrict the sale of alcohol to a trader or club for the purposes of the trade or club.
3. The permitted hours to sell alcohol on this licence do not prohibit or restrict the ordering of alcohol to be consumed off the premises, or the despatch by the vendor of the alcohol so ordered.
4. The permitted hours to sell alcohol on this licence do not prohibit or restrict the taking of alcohol from the premises by a person residing there.
5. The permitted hours to sell alcohol on this licence do not prohibit or restrict the supply of alcohol for consumption on the premises to any private friends of a person residing there who are bona fide entertained by them at their own expense, or the consumption of persons so supplied.
6. The permitted hours to sell alcohol on this licence do not prohibit or restrict the supply of alcohol for consumption on premises to persons employed there for the purposes of the businesses carried on by the holder of the licence, or the consumption of liquor so supplied, if the liquor is supplied at the expense of their employer or of the person carrying on or in charge of the business on the premises.
7. The permitted hours to sell alcohol on this licence do not prohibit or restrict the sale or supply of alcohol to any canteen or mess, being a canteen in which the sale or supply of alcohol is carried out under the authority of the Secretary of State or an authorised mess of members of Her Majesty’s naval, military or air forces.
Conditions Consistent with the Justices’ On Licence relating to the premises
1. Persons shall only be sold or supplied intoxicating liquor who are:
(A) Members of the Cranford Sports Club Ltd.
(B) Persons who are attending any sporting event held at the club, either as an organiser, official or spectator.
(C) Persons who are using the facilities of the club for payment.
(D) Persons attending pre-booked functions or meetings.
(E) Employees and staff of the Cranford Sports Club Ltd.
(F) CCTV to be installed, operated and maintained to the satisfaction of the Chief Officer of Police.
Conditions Consistent with the Operating Schedule
1. Existing arrangements, the current conditions and the Rules under which the club operates have worked satisfactory and will continue to operate in the premises in order to meet all four licensing objectives
2. The premises is a membership club, all persons entering can only gain access with their membership card. All guests are signed in. In the event of the premises being used for a pre-booked non member function there shall be a nominated person responsible for those persons whilst on the premises
3. The fire safety measures which the premises are provided, will be maintained in good working order and their adequacy will be determined on a regulated basis, by carrying out of fire assessment, as required by, and in accordance with the Fire Precautions (workplace) Regulations. The Designated Premises Supervisor understands that the safety of occupants is also influenced by numbers of persons present, their disposition and the activities taking place and therefore undertakes to maintain a safe occupancy level based on guidance and advice from the Fire and Licensing Authority.
4. The designated premises supervisor will co-operate with the fire authority to ensure a safe environment for all persons attending the premises.
5. Systems currently in place for routine testing of fire and safety systems will continue, this to include plant and machinery throughout the premises
6. An adequate and appropriate supply of first aid equipment and materials will be available for the use of patrons.
7. Plastic glasses, food and beverage containers will be provided for persons wishing to eat and drink in the pool area,
8. The swimming pool closes at dusk each day
9. There will be regular clearing of used glasses, bottles etc from the premises, both indoor and outdoor.
10. Outside tennis will finish at 10:00 pm if there is a competition taking place, otherwise at 9:00 pm to avoid light disturbance to residents
11. All external doors and windows will be kept shut, other than for access or egress, in all rooms when events involving amplified music, speech or any other entertainment are likely to give rise to noise.
12. The designated Premises Supervisor, or other such person as nominated by him, shall be responsible for controlling the volume of any amplified music or entertainment that is likely to give rise to noise
13. After 8:00 pm no unaccompanied children of any age are allowed in the bar
14. All persons entering the premises must show their membership card. This is a photographic membership system which will be accepted as proof of age. In addition only photographic identification such as passport or photographic driving licence is acceptable.
15. The licensable activities authorised by this licence will be confined to the areas that are hatched in PINK on the plan deposited with and approved by the Licensing Authority.
